BUTWAL, Sept 21: The Butwal Sub-Metropolitan City has started to cater training programs to as high as 400 youth for the development of self-employment scheme. In the first phase, a total of 365 youth from all 19 wards of the Sub-Metropolitan City are selected under the 'Mayor Youth Entrepreneurship' programme.
Mayor of Butwal Sub-Metropolitan City Shivraj Subedi said that the youth would be given a range of training programmes for three months and then they would be provided with employment opportunities in collaboration with the employers.

Altogether 25 youth are selected for the training on the maintenance of excavators, bulldozers, graders, roller and vibrators of a heavy hydraulic system and they will receive training for three months in Auto Village of Ujirsinghnagar.
Similarly, 20 others would learn about auto mechanics, 22 youth on general mechanics, 35 for training on wielding solar electrical, 20 on plumbing training while 107 youth are selected for training on fashion designing. Likewise, some others have opted for other courses.
Marking the commencement of the programme, Mayor Subedi said that this training was a part of the campaign for making the town prosperous adding that the dream would be materialized only if the youth were strengthened. Mayor Subedi shared that the employers and the training providing institutions have cooperated with Butwal Sub-Metropolitan City to yield the result in this regard. RSS
