PM Deuba to inaugurate conference hall in Butwal today

BUTWAL, August 27: Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba is scheduled to inaugurate the International Conference Center constructed at Butwal Mandap in Butwal sub-metropolis-10, Ramnagar, today.

BUTWAL, August 27: Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba is scheduled to inaugurate the International Conference Center constructed at Butwal Mandap in Butwal sub-metropolis-10, Ramnagar, today. 


Prime Minister Deuba is arriving here today for the inauguration of the conference center, informed Chief District Officer Bharatmani Pandey. A contract to build the conference hall was signed with the contractors in 2071 BS to complete the construction of the conference center in two phases.

The conference center was built in Butwal targeting the national and international meetings and assemblies in Lumbini, the birthplace of Buddha. Project Chief Dharmendra Panthi said the construction of the conference center was completed in June 2021 before the extended timeline. 

The conference center which is connected to the East-West Highway from Butwal is constructed in the shape of the national flag of Nepal. The conference center has the capacity to accommodate 1,000 people
