Butwal curfew lifted for 3 hrs

KATHMANDU, March 28: The Rupandehi district administration has lifted curfew order in Butwal for three hours --from 1 pm to 4 pm -- Saturday to allow the Communist Party of Nepal (Unified Marxist-Leninist) to hold a funeral procession of Prachanda Thaiba, a UML cadre who was allegedly killed by YCL workers Thursday night.



UML senior leaders including party chairman Jhalanath Khanal, General Secretary Ishwar Pokharel, central leader and Water Resource Minister Bishnu Poudel have reached Butwal by a helicopter of Nepal Army to participate in the funeral.
