BUSINESS BRIEFS: Gold, iPhone as prizes in Yamaha scheme

KATHMANDU, April 4: Yamaha has introduced a scheme for customers offering prizes on the occasion of New Year 2070. According to a statement issued on Thursday, buyers will receive a scratch-card on purchase of every Yamaha bike under the scheme that starts from Friday.



Each of the three boxes in the scratch card has prizes hidden, ensuring that no one goes home empty-handed. The prizes on offer are 10 gm of gold, iPhone 5 or cash prizes between Rs 5,000 and Rs 100,000.[break]



CBIL extends branchless banking reach



KATHMANDU
: Three more branches of Citizen Bank International Ltd (CBIL) have started offering branchless banking services. A statement issued by the bank said the services had been started from Chatara of Itahari, Mainapokhari and Namdu of Charikot. The bank has already been providing the services from 31 places in remote areas in a bid to make the banking service more accessible to local people, the bank said.



CBIL currently has 34 branches across the country.
