SUNSARI, Feb 2: Four persons have been killed and 10 others sustained injuries when a passenger bus collided head-on with a microbus in Sunsari district on Sunday.
The incident occurred when the bus (Na 5 Kha 3157) en route to Kathmandu from Chandragadhi collided head-on with the microbus (Na 6 Kha 795) coming from the opposite direction at Ramdhuni-2.
According to police, 28-year-old Dipak Khadka of Dhading, 23-year-old Hem Raj Koirala and 65-year-old Dolmaya Koirala of Jhapa died on the spot. Likewise, 17-year-old Garima Gautam of Bhaktapur, who was seriously injured in the incident, died in course of treatment at Dharan-based BPKIHS.
Of the 10 injured, three are critical. The injured are undergoing treatment at Birat Nursing Hospital in Biratnagar.
