At a press conference organized in Dharan on Wednesday, the club informed that energy drink Red Bull is the new sponsor of the tournament. [break]
Tuborg Beer was the tournament sponsor until the 14th edition. "As we have confirmed sponsor deal with Red Bull, the tournament would be named as Budhasubba Red Bull Gold Cup," said Kishor Rai, the president of Dharan FC. "We´ll make the event bigger than the previous edition," he added.
Rai said that eight to 10 teams will participate in the tournament but he did not name them.

According to Dharan FC, four to six Nepali top-tier teams, a team from eastern region and other foreign teams will participate in the tournament.
"We are trying to bring more foreign clubs to Dharan. The national team of Bhutan has almost confirmed participation in the tournament while we are in touch with I-League clubs like Sikkim United owned by Baichung Bhutia and others," said Rai. "Teams from Hong Kong, UK and Bangladesh could also participate in this edition," he added with optimism.
Dharan FC has decided to increase the prize money for the tournament. According to Rai, the winner will get Rs 325,000 while the runner-up will receive Rs 162,500. The best player of the tournament will get a motorbike while the highest scorer will get Rs 25,000.
Budhasubba Gold Cup to begin from February 22
