With the total three airports in Province 2, only Simara and Janakpur are fully operational.

Rajbiraj airport will also come into full operation once there is an arrangement for re-fueling here at the airport.

The company has already urged Chief Minister of Province 2 Lal Babu Raut to make an arrangement to this effect.

If the regular fights were made available in the district, it is likely to attract tourists from India, mountain and hilly region.
