KATHMANDU, Feb 13: British Embassy has defeated Russian Embassy 6-3 to lift a football competition organized by the Qatar Embassy in Nepal on Wednesday. 

The competition was organized on the occasion of National Sports Day of the state of Qatar. 

A total of eight teams participated in the football match held at the Himalayan Sports Arena in Hatiwan, Lalitpur on Tuesday. 

In the game that started from the league stage, eight teams competed against each other. Qatar Embassy, Qatar Charity, Russian Embassy Nepal, British Embassy Nepal entered the semifinals after winning the league stage. 

In the semifinal round, the Qatar Embassy was defeated by the British Embassy and Qatar Charity was defeated by the Russian embassy.

In the match between the Qatar Charity and the Russian Embassy, both teams were desperate to get the game in their favor. In the penalty shootout, Russia won the game 2-1.
