PARSA, April 6: Addressing a press conference organized by Parsa Chapter of Nepal Press Union , NC leader Dr Shekhar Koirala has said holding the local polls without the participation of Madesh-based parties would propel the country toward ethnic violence.
Holding the locals polls boycotted by the Madhesh-based parties will also lead to the emergence of extremist political force, he added.
Accusing leaders of Kathmandu of failing to understand the problem of Madheshi people, Koirala argued that Madhesh-based parties must be brought on board the local polls slated for May 14.
