Tirtha Bahadur Rana gave an early fifth minute lead to Shree Kumari but Ukesh Shrestha hit back the equalizer in the 55th minute. The result left Brigade Boys unchanged in the fifth position with 14 points and Shree Kumari in the sixth position with 13 points. Both of them have played nine matches each. [break]
In another match, United Youth Club registered a dramatic 1-0 win over Satdobato Youth Club with the winning goal coming in the dying moments of the match. Nakesh Raut scored the all-important goal for United.
With its fourth victory United moved three spots up to the seventh position. United is level on 13 points with Shree Kumari, but the latter is ahead in the points table on the basis of heads-to-head record. Meanwhile, Satdobato dropped one spot to 10th with 11 points in its kitty.
Kathmandu Club became the last team to be relegated from B division on Friday. Koilapani Polestar and Star Club were automatically relegated as they withdrew their names from the contest.
Tusal, Boys Union and Samajik are among the strong contenders for the title. The top team of the 15-team B division league will be elevated to A division. After playing equal nine matches, Tusal leads the points table with 19 points, same as that of second-placed Boys Union.
Tusal leads on the basis of goal difference. Samajik also has 19 points but is behind the top two teams on the basis of head-to-head record and goals difference.
