DHULIKHEL, Oct 11: Landslide has occurred again at Piple along the BP Highway in Roshi rural municipality-11 of Kavrepalanchowk district today.

Vehicular movement along Jaya Prithvi Highway resumes
Vehicles were allowed to operate on the alternative track connecting the highway from Thursday. The alternative track was constructed at the initiative of the Department of Roads and the Roshi Rural Municipality after the flood in the Roshikhola, triggered by incessant rains on September 27 and 28, washed away different sections of the highway.
Deputy Superintendent of Police at the District Police Office, Man Bahadur Ghale, said that a bus and a Tata Sumo microbus heading towards Kathmandu from Sindhuli and Khotang were buried by the landslide debris. No casualties are reported in the incident.
Efforts are underway to open the disrupted road. Chandra Bahadur Lama, an employee of the Road Division Office, said the dry landslide still continues and there is no possibility of opening the road for vehicular traffic any time soon.
