According to the police, a group of boys on motorcycles stabbed Gauchan with a knife while he was walking on a street at Ratnachowk at 9 am. He succumbed to injuries sustained in the chest. The police said Gauchan died of excessive bleeding.
The police have arrested Naresh Shrestha, Anil Gurung and Puran Gurung of Ratnachowk in connection with the incident while others remain at large. It´s still uncertain how many people were involved in the attack.
Gauchan hailed from Mustang and was living in a rented house with his family at Lakeside.
