Likewise, Western region defeated Central region 25-14, 25-19, 25-19 in women´s category on Wednesday as they booked berth for the final.
Western men´s team will take on Central region in the final while Western women are set to face hosts PLA ´red´ in the title clash.
Central defeated Workers Martyrs Memorial Club 25-20, 26-24,18-25, 25-21 to reach the men´s final while PLA ´red´ thrashed Far Western region 26-24, 19-25, 26-24, 25-16 to ensure a women´s final spot.
In men´s football, Mid Western entered into the semifinals from pool B of the tournament.
Mid Western beat WMMC 4-1 and took lead over Central in goal difference to reach the semis. WMMC are already in the semifinals.
Ritesh Khadka, Rohit Chand and Rajendra Shrestha scored a goal each for Mid Western while WMMC conceded an own goal during the match. Jiwan Sinkeman scored the lone goal for WMMC.
Likewise, Western and PLA ´red´ entered the semifinals from pool ´A´ as winners and runners-up respectively. Western defeated ANFA U-16 team 7-1 to qualify for the semis.
Nirajan Malla and Pushpa Chhetri scored two goals each for the winners while Bisnu KC, Nirajan Khadka and Sushil KC scored a goal each. Phurba Chhiring struck the sole goal for ANFA U-16.
PLA ´red´ eased past Far Western 6-4 and entered the last four. Suman Gautam completed his hat-trick in the win of PLA. Suraj Lama added two while Milan Lama scored a goal more for PLA. Mani Raj Chaudhary, Khem Raut, Kuber Singh and Dipesh Khadka scored for the losing side.
PLA ´red´ and Eastern region secured their semifinal berths in women´s football from pool A. Nisha Sunar scored a decisive goal in the 1-0 win of PLA ´red´ over Western region. Likewise, Eastern region defeated WMMC 3-0. Geeta Kathayat and Simran scored a goal each while Tulasha Thapa conceded an own goal during the victory of Eastern.
PLA ´red´ will take on Central region while PLA ´blue´ will clash against Eastern region in the semifinals on Thursday.
