Body builders leave for Vietnam

KATHMANDU, Aug 26: A team comprising Nepali body builders has left here for Ho Chi Minh City of Vietnam on Monday to participate in the 47th Asian Body Building Competition.



The competition is going to be held from August 11 to September 2.Ram Bahadur Dahal, Sanjeev Kumar Shrestha and Rameshwor Maharjan would compete in 60-kg, 65-kg, and above 65-kg categories respectively in the competition. [break]



Member of the Nepal Body Building and Fitness Association, Mohan Krishna Shrestha, is the team manager and First Vice-Chairman of the Association and International Judge Bijay Lal Kayastha is the judge of the team.



Dahal, who has also won the title ´Mr. Himalaya´ had won silver medals in 65-kg category in the South Asian Body Building Championship held in Punjab, and in Hong Kong Body Building Championship held in Hong Kong.



Similarly, Sanjeev had also won bronze medal in 70-kg category in the South Asian Body Building competition held in Bhutan, said Association member Mohan Krishna Shrestha.



The bronze medal won by Sujan Lama in 55-kg category in the 46th Asian Body Building Championship is the biggest achievement made by Nepal in Asian Championship so far.
