Body builders head to Thailand

KATHMANDU, Sept 30: A four-member body building team will leave for Thailand Sunday to participate in the 45th Men´s Asian Body Building Championship. The team includes three players and an official.[break]



Rajesh Shrestha will lead the team of body builders Shyam Shrestha, Gyan Narayan Maharjan and Sujan Lama.



Shrestha will compete in 65kg weight category, Maharjan in 60kg category and Lama in 55kg category. Maharjan had won silver medal in the 8th South Asian Bodybuilding Tournament while Shrestha had won a bronze in the 2nd World Men´s Body Building Championship last year.



Lama will be competing in his first international tournament. Member Secretary of National Sports Council Yubaraj Lama bid farewell to the team Friday.







Sun Tole advances into final



Sun Tole on Friday advanced into the final of Jay Nepal Cup football tournament being organized by Nepali Congress Region No 2, Kathmandu.



Sun Tole defeated Inrdrayani A 1-0 in extra time in the first semifinal match played at Manohara ground, Mulpani.



Dipesh Shrestha scored the decider through penalty in the last minute of the added time. Both the teams failed to score in the regular time.



Rupesh Bista of the winning team was adjudged the man-of-the-match.
