Bodies of 9 Nepalis brought from Qatar

KATHMANDU, July 18: The nine bodies out of the 12 Nepali workers, who lost their lives in a ship tragedy in the Gulf, were brought here on Saturday.



Madan Kumar Bhattrai, spokesperson for Foreign Ministry, said said the bodies were brought on a Qatar Airways flight from Doha. Preparation is on to bring one more body from Qatar while two bodies of Nepalis are yet to be identified.



A Home Ministry source said the bodies of Lila Ram Poudel (Baglung), Mehadi Hussein Miya (Bara), Awas Ahmed Shai (Banke), Man Singh Khatri (Arghakhanchi), Sheshnath Yadav and Rajiv Kumar Datta of Mahottari, Tilak Bahadur Khamcha (Palpa), Rishi Prasad Sharma Poudel (Parbat) and Jaya Bahadur Punmagar (Rolpa) were brought on Saturday.
