Blood donors´' new working committee

KATHMANDU, March 3: Blood Donors´ Association, Kathmandu district chapter has elected a 23-new executive committee under the chairmanship of Kishore Raj Onta.



The second general convention of the chapter on Saturday elected Thakur Das Shrestha and Dharmendra Maharjan as Vice-chair, Bal Krishna Shrestha the Secretary, Shanker Maharjan the Treasurer and Khem Marasini the joint-treasurer. Speaking after the election, Chairman Onta called for collective efforts to address the increasing scarcity of blood in the country. The demand for blood in Kathmandu valley alone is 300 to 500 pint per day, according to Blood Transfusion Centre, Kathmandu.
