Under this scheme Samsung mobiles buyers will receive a scratch card on the purchase of any genuine Samsung mobile through which they will be able to win cash prizes and other gifts such as Samsung watches and mobile sets like Samsung 1205, 2252, Samsung Champ Neo Duos and Champ Deluxe Duos.

Skoda MAW announces festive offer
KATHMANDU: Skoda MAW on Tuesday launched a festive scheme, under which the customers will be able to purchase a Skoda Fabia with a down payment of Rs 350,000 during the festive season. "The offer, we believe, will enable customers to purchase Skoda for much lower amount than normally required," the company said in a statement.
As for other brands and variants, Skoda MAW said it will also provide attractive offers for the festive season. “The festive season in Nepal is a time when many consumers purchase a car. MCC delegation in Nepal
KATHMANDU: A delegation led by the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) is in Nepal to work with the government in identifying the constraints to private investment and economic growth. “This is the first step in developing an MCC Threshold Program, which is a grant program designed to assist countries to become eligible for MCC compact assistance by focusing on targeted policy reforms to increase private investment and economic growth,” said a press statement issued by US Embassy in Kathmandu. MCC is a US government agency that works with developing countries that have a demonstrated commitment to good governance, economic freedom and investment in their citizens. MCC´s Board of Directors selected Nepal as eligible for the Threshold Program in December 2011.

Citizens Bank to give 8.42% cash dividend
KATHMANDU (REPUBLICA): Citizens Bank is extending cash dividend of 8.42 percent from the earnings made in the last fiscal year ended July 15, says a bank statement. The information was disclosed at the 6th annual general meeting of the bank held in Kathmandu on Tuesday. The commercial bank generated an operating profit of Rs 388.3 million and a net profit of Rs 222.9 million in the last fiscal year. The bank also collected deposits of Rs 17.35 billion and extended loans of Rs 14.15 billion in the last fiscal year. The bank currently extends its services through 33 branch offices and 31 automated teller machines.
NBTI to organize risk management conference
KATHMANDU: National Banking Training Institute (NBTI) is organizing a day-long National Risk Management Conference 2012 in Kathmandu on October 8. The conference, which will deliberate on various risks ranging from credit and operational risks to liquidity risks, is expected to be participated by over 200 delegates, including board directors, CEOs, general managers, chief operating officers and heads of risk department from category ´A´, ´B´, ´C´ and ´D´ financial institutions, states an NBTI statement. Kailash Bikas Bank turns 20
KATHMANDU: Kailash Bikas Bank, a category ´B´ financial institution, has turned 20. The bank, which is currently providing services through 22 branches, has collected deposits of Rs 5.25 billion so far and has extended Rs 4.48 billion in loans till date, according to a press statement issued by the bank. Since its inception, the bank has consistently been earning profits.
Sindhu Bank appoints GrowMore as share issue manager
KATHMANDU: Sindhu Bikas Bank, a category ´B´ financial institution which is soon launching initial public offering (IPO), has appointed GrowMore Merchant Banker as its share issue manager. The bank is floating 490,000 units of shares with a face value of Rs 100 each to the public very soon. Once the IPO completes, the bank, which has its head office in Barhabise of Sindhupalanchowk, will have a paid-up capital of Rs 100 million. The bank collected Rs 500 million in deposits and extended Rs 400 million in loans till mid-Sept. The bank has a customer base of 15,000.
