Bird strikes helicopter en route to Kathmandu from Lukla, emergency landing in Sanga

KATHMANDU, Dec 29: A helicopter en route to Kathmandu from Lukla had to make an emergency landing at Sanga after a bird struck it.


A senior official of the company said that a bird struck the 9N-AKG helicopter belonging to the Heli Everest and the pilot landed in a safe place without taking any further risk.

According to him there is no damage to the aircraft, the helicopter is preparing to fly again. According to airport sources, there were six passengers on board including the pilot.
