KATHMANDU, Feb 14: Today’s meeting of the National Assembly unanimously passed the ‘Bill on Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES) (first amendment)-2075’ along with amendment made by the House of Representatives.
Minister for Forest and Environment, Shakti Bahadur Basnet, had presented the bill. The NA had already approved the bill and sent it to the House of Representatives. The HoR had sent the bill back to the NA with some amendments.
Similarly, Secretary at the NA, Rajendra Phunyal, tabled the ‘Bill designed to amend some Nepal Acts-2075’ received from the HoR along with a message in the same meeting. The NA will meet next on February 15.
