The party’s members held placards at a road near Dhangadi park for around 30 minutes. BSP’s Dhangadi chapter also condemned police intervention at the party’s office in Kathmandu yesterday.
Yesterday, police intervened at the party’s office to remove a banner protesting the blockade imposed by the Indians in 2015. The banner placed at the party headquarters at Bakhundol had welcomed Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Nepal but reminded that they hadn’t forgotten the blockade. Police reached the party office just when Modi was landing in Kathmandu from Janakpur.
Members affiliated to the party also urged the government to ensure free speech. At Kathmandu, the party flew balloons that held a banner that read “Blockade”.
