Bhutanese royal couple to arrive in Nepal on Friday for private visit

King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck and Queen Jetsun Pema Wangchuck of Bhutan are scheduled to leave New Delhi at 8 am on Friday and are expected to arrive in Kathmandu around 9:30 am.

KATHMANDU, Dec 4: King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck and Queen Jetsun Pema Wangchuck of Bhutan are scheduled to arrive in Nepal for a private visit on Friday.


The royal couple are arriving in Kathmandu after completing their visit to India. They are planning to spend three to four hours in Kathmandu. The King and Queen of Bhutan are scheduled to pay an official visit to India from December 5 to 6.

According to the statement issued by the Ministry of External Affairs of India, the King and Queen of Bhutan will reach New Delhi at 9:10 am (Indian Standard Time) on Thursday. On the same day at 11:30 am, they are scheduled to meet with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.


Similarly, S. Jaishankar is scheduled to hold a courtesy meeting with the King and Queen of Bhutan at 3:30 pm on Thursday at Hotel Taj Palace in New Delhi .


They are scheduled to leave New Delhi at 8 am on Friday and are expected to arrive in Kathmandu around 9:30 am. They plan to spend three to four hours in the capital before returning to Bhutan.
