KATHMANDU, Aug 28: The bodies of 538 people have been recovered so far from different districts affected by the Bhotekoshi flash flood, according to the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority (NDRRMA).
According to the details of the search, rescue and relief efforts released by the NDRRMA as of 3 pm on Friday, 12 bodies were recovered in Rasuwa, 37 in Nuwakot, 33 in Dhading, 46 in Gorkha, 134 in Nawalparasi East, 27 in Nawalparasi West, 28 in Tanahun and 121 in Chitwan.

NDRRMA Spokesperson Shanti Mahat said 977 people have gone missing in the flood. Of them, 28 are from Nepal Police, 45 from the Nepali Army, 13 from the Armed Police Force Nepal, 15 from the Customs Office and four from the Immigration Office.
Similarly, 161 people have gone missing from Rasuwa, one from Nuwakot and 66 from Makawanpur. Likewise, 517 foreigners and 127 Nepalis living abroad who had come to visit Nepal have also gone missing in the flash flood, the Authority said.
According to the NDRRMA, 73 people were injured in the flood. Of them, 43 are from Rasuwa, three from Dhading and 27 from Nuwakot.
