Bhattarai unveils 'new power' campaign

KATHMANDU, Nov 22: Former prime minister Dr Baburam Bhattarai organized a gathering for a 'new power' campaign at a party palace in Chabahil on Sunday.

The program was attended by Madhesi leaders like Mahanta Thakur, Upendra Yadav, writer Khagendra Sangraula, businessman Rabi Bhakta Shrestha and human rights activist Padma Ratna Tuladhar, among others.Speaking at the program, Bhattarai said that the new power campaign was not 'a single man show'. "It is an initiative of new idea," he said.

The former prime minister said that the campaign was not for the power but a campaign for truth.

Leaders Thakur, Yadav and Giri expressed their best wishes for Bhattarai in his campaign.

The program will conclude on Monday.
