Govt unveils 10-point declaration paper on nat'l sanitation campaign

Kathmandu, March 11: The government has unveiled a 10-point declaration paper on national sanitation campaign on the occasion of the 200th week of the Bagmati Cleanup Mega Campaign.  Chief Secretary Dr Somlal Subedi announced the campaign today stating that the move would come into effect from the beginning of the 2074 BS.

Kathmandu, March 11: The government has unveiled a 10-point declaration paper on national sanitation campaign on the occasion of the 200th week of the Bagmati Cleanup Mega Campaign. 

Chief Secretary Dr Somlal Subedi announced the campaign today stating that the move would come into effect from the beginning of the 2074 BS. 


The declaration states that all offices and organizations across the country would carry out cleanup campaign on their premises from 2 to 3 pm on the first Friday of every month.

Likewise, the schools across the country would conduct the campaign from 2 to 3 pm or an hour before the school closure on every second and fourth Friday and collect the garbage from the nearby rivers, rivulets, gardens, ponds, lakes, religious sites, roads and other public spaces. 


Extra curricular programmes, drawing, debates, poetic activities, quiz contests, walkathon and tree plantation activities for environmental conservation. RSS (Photo Available)
