Bhattarai stresses for tourism development in Gorkha

GORKHA, July 9: Unified CPN (Maoist) Vice-chairman Dr. Baburam Bhattarai stressed on the need for bringing out the historical aspects of the district for its development.



Speaking at a function in Gorkha on Saturday, he said the district should build up the periodical projects for the advance Gorkha.[break]



He said though the monarchial system was wiped out from the country it should not be forgotten that King Dravya Shah was the founder of Gorkha state and Prithvi Narayan Shah unified the Baise and Chaubise states into a single Nepal.



It is revealed only when the historical backgrounds of the district were discussed.



On the occasion, Bhattarai stressed on the need for organizing the tourism, agricultural and industrial activities for the whole development of the district.
