KATHMANDU, March 14: The temperature has gradually started rising in various districts of the country as the winter season ends, particularly in the Terai region of Nepal.
According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division (MFD), there has been an increase in the temperature in the districts of Central and Eastern Terai. This week, Bhairahawa, in particular, recorded the highest temperature.

On Wednesday, Bhairahawa recorded a temperature of 34.5 degrees Celsius, marking the highest temperature since February. Sanjiv Adhikari, a meteorologist of the MFD, said that this is the highest temperature since February.
According to him, the temperature of Janakpur was measured at 34.4 degrees Celsius and Nepalgunj at 31.6 degrees Celsius on Wednesday.
He has also requested all to take necessary precautions to mitigate the potential impacts of the rising temperatures, especially in the Terai and Chure regions.
Furthermore, he advised the public to be mindful of the weather conditions, saying that mornings and evenings are expected to gradually become milder, with temperatures soaring during the afternoon hours.
