Bazaars shut in Jhapa

BHADRAPUR, June 7: Bazaars at Gauradaha and Gaurigunj have been shut down citing the vandalism and injury of around two dozen people in a clash between two groups during the Maoist-affiliated Kochila State Committee banda called by the Unified CPN (Maoist) on Saturday.



CPN-UML-affiliated Youth Force and the Maoist´s Young Communist League (YCL) were involved in a clash after YCL forced to close the shop of former chairman of Nepal Chamber of Commerce, Gauradaha. Around two dozen youths from both sides were injured in the incident.



The YCL cadres had then vandalized some houses including that of CA member Dipak Karki.
