KATHMANDU, April 29: Banks and financial institutions (BFIs) will remain open in the Kathmandu Valley during the prohibitory orders imposed from Thursday.
Issuing a press release, Nepal Bankers’ Association said that all branches of the banks and financial institutions will remain open during the period of prohibition.
Although the branches of banks and financial institutions are required to remain open during the period, the Association has urged its clients not to visit the physical branches except in essential cases.
NBA Chair Bhuwan Dahal said that they have requested the clients not to crowd at banks and financial institutions and to make online transactions rather than cash transactions.
Stating that ATM booths would also remain open during the prohibition period, the Association has urged the people having access to the internet/ mobile banking service to put the service into utmost use.
