BANKE, Sept 29: Banke district recorded two more coronavirus-related deaths on Tuesday morning.


A 41-year-old man from Nepalgunj Sub Metropolitan City-7 died while undergoing treatment at Nepalgunj Medical College at 3:30 am, according to Naresh Shrestha, an official at the District Public Health Office, Banke. Likewise, another 53-year-old man from Kohalpur Municipality-10 breathed his last at 4:15 am at .

The first man was a health worker at the Nepalgunj Medical College Teaching Hospital. He was admitted to Kohalpur Hospital on September 16. His throat swab sample was collected after he experienced coronavirus-like symptoms. His throat swab sample came positive for the virus. 


The 53-year-old man was suffering from pneumonia and was admitted to the Kohalpur Teaching Hospital after he experienced coronavirus-like symptoms.  


Local authorities are preparing to dispose of the dead bodies.


With two more fatalities linked to coronavirus, the number of people dying of COVID-19 in Banke has risen to 15.
