BANKE, Feb 17: Bangladesh’s Ifad Group Team defeated the home team New Indreni Bageshwari in the ongoing fifth Prime Minister Cup International Women’s Volleyball Tournament on Friday.
Ifad beat Indreni 27-25, 25-22, 26-24 in a game, which saw the losing team battle hard in all three sets at the Nepalgunj Covered Hall in Banke. Indreni missed a crucial chance to reach the last four of the tournament, despite playing very well.

In the other match played on the same day, the departmental team Nepal Police Club (NPC) beat the other foreign team Dehradun Sports Training on straight sets of 25-1, 25-14, 25-17.
Shivam New Diamond Academy (NDA) will take on Dehradun in the last group stage match on Friday for a semifinal spot, while the other departmental team Armed Police Force (APF) will face New Indreni on the same day.
