Bangladesh lifts SAFF U15 Championship title

KATHMANDU, Nov 3: Bangladesh beat Pakistan 3-2 in a penalty shootout in the finals of the fourth edition of the SAFF U15 Championship at the ANFA Complex at Satdobato on Saturday.

KATHMANDU, Nov 3: Bangladesh beat Pakistan 3-2 in a penalty shootout in the finals of the fourth edition of the SAFF U15 Championship at the ANFA Complex at Satdobato on Saturday. 



The 1-1 draw in the stated 90 minutes and injury times led to the penalty shootout.

Bangladesh took the lead with a suicide goal from Pakistan's Haseeb Khan in the 27th minute. But Pakistan equaled in the 54th minute with a goal from Mohibullah. 


Pakistan's Haseeb became the best player, while Bangladesh's Mommad was the top scorer. Presence of Bangladesh's Ambassador to Nepal Mashfee Binte Shams in the Complex graced the match. 


President of the All Nepal Football Association Karma Tshering Sherpa and Vice President Krishna Thapa jointly handed out the trophies to the winners amid a programme. RSS
