Nepali football squad leaving for Bangladesh

KATHMANDU, Aug 31: A 29-member Nepali football team is leaving for Bangladesh on September 2 to take part in the 10th SAFF Championship. The 10th SAFF Championship is taking place in Dhaka, the capital city of Bangladesh, on September 4-15.

KATHMANDU, Aug 31: A 29-member Nepali football team is leaving for Bangladesh on September 2 to take part in the 10th SAFF Championship. The 10th SAFF Championship is taking place in Dhaka, the capital city of Bangladesh, on September 4-15. 


Spokesperson of All Nepal Football Association (ANFA), Kiran Rai, shared that Bhutan, India, the Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and the host, Bangladesh, would compete in the Championship.

As shared, Nepal, Bangladesh, Pakistan and Bhutan are in Group 'A' while India, the Maldives and Sri Lanka are in Group 'B'. 


The Nepali football squad comprises Kiran Kumar Limbu, Bikesh Kuthu, Alen Neupane, Dinesh Rajbanshi, Devendra Tamang, Biraj Maharjan, Ananta Tamang, Aditya Chaudhary, Rohit Chand, Suman Aryal, Hemant Thapa Magar, Heman Gurung, Bishal Rai, Sunil Bal, Sujal Shrestha, Nirajan Khadka, Bharat Khawas, Bimal Gharti Magar, Nabayug Shrestha and Anjan Bista.
