TANAHU, July 15: A cable car way is to be constructed in the historical town of Bandipur.
The cable car will be available for travel from Thuldhunga to Baral chowk, spreading over 1.6 kilometers.
RKB real estate and constructions limited and Tara Prasad Updhaya are jointly investing in the project that is estimated to cost around Rs. 560 million. A Detail Project Report has already been completed, along with purchasing of the land, environmental assessment and right to use the forest area, according to Updhyaya.
Chief Minister of Province no. 4 Prithivi Subba Gurung is scheduled to lay foundation stone of the cable car on July 20.
The cable car, upon completion, will be an added attraction for tourists visiting Bandipur. The old tourist town has been receiving around a hundred foreign tourists every day, according to President of Bandipur Tourism Development Committee Baisha Gurung. RSS
