KATMANDU, Feb 2: The Election Commisison (EC) has completed printing the ballot papers for upper house elections slated for next week.
EC printing ballots to earlier design, citing time constraint
Election commissioner Narendra Dahal said necessary ballot papers have been completed and they are now in the process of dispatching them to the provincial capitals, where the elections will take place. "Printing of ballot papers has been completed and we are dispatching them to the concerned offices soon," said commissioner Dahal.
The election body is conducting upper house elections in six provinces on February 7. As per the constitutional provisions, each province needs to elect eight members. However, all members from Province 2 have already been elected unopposed.
