Those honored are senior Marxist thinker Mohan Baidya ´Kiran´ (Chaitanya) with the Parijat Sirjan Samman- 2069, leader Sahana Pradhan with Parijat Sangharshashil Nari Samman -2069 and Naradmani Hartamchhali with the Parijat Kala Samman 2069 Bs. Baidya is also the chairman of the CPN-Maoist. The prizes comprise of Rs. 10,000 each. [break]
Former Chairman of Progressive Writers Association, Ananda Dev Bhatta gave away the prizes.
Leader Pradhan´s son Umesh Shrestha received the prize as she was ill, and he handed over the prize money to Centre´s Chairperson Laxmi Mali for the under -construction building of Parijat Memorial Centre.
Critic Bhatta said Nepali literature received important works like ´Shirishko ful´ from Parijat.
Parijat was born in 1994 BS and died on Baisakh 5, 2050 BS.
