According to a press statement issued by CPN-Maoist Secretary Dev Gurung, the use of national army in election would be a violation of CPA. The alliance also accused the government of declaring a war and inviting conflict in the country.

The alliance also decided to protest against the raid on Wednesday morning by Indian armed police personnel in a house in Gulariya. It has also sought a public apology from the Indian government and a commitment not to repeat such act.

The meeting also decided to seek clarification from the government as to why the US army´s special aircraft landed in Tribhuvan International Airport on last Thursday. The alliance also decided to withdraw the nationwide general shutdown called for September 25 and 26.
