KATHMANDU, Oct 21: The Mohan Baidhya-led Nepal Communist Party (Revolutionary Maoist) has announced boycotting the by-election scheduled for November 30.

Organizing a press meet in the capital on Monday,  NCP leader CP Gajurel informed that his party will actively boycott the by-polls which the Election Commission (EC) has scheduled for vacant seats of  three tiers, federal, provincial and local level in different 52 places.

NCP (Revolutionary Maoist)’s decision came two weeks after the EC unveiled its time-table for by-polls. Party leader Gajurel claimed that the planned by-election would not contribute to their party's revolution.

The party, however, had participated in the elections of all three tiers which were held two years ago by forming an alliance.
