Bagmati Province Assembly meeting postponed for 4 PM today

KATHMANDU, April 1: The meeting of the Bagmati Province Assembly which was called for 1 PM has been postponed to 4 PM today.

The provincial assembly secretariat issued a notice saying that the meeting had been postponed.

In today's meeting, the Chief Minister of Bagmati Province, Shalikram Jamakattel, is taking the vote of confidence.

The support of 56 provincial assembly members is required to form a government in the 110-member Bagmati Province. The new alliance has 57 votes including 27 of UML, 21 of Maoist Center, seven of Unified Socialist Party and two of Hamro Nepali Party.

Bagmati Chief Minister Jamkattel is going to take a vote of confidence as Nepali Congress withdrew its support to the government with the formation of a new equation of UML and Maoist Center.
