Bagmati cleanup campaign to focus in Pashupati area in view of Shivaratri festival

KATHMANDU, March 4: The Bagmati cleanup mega campaign scheduled for March 6 and 13 is focusing in the Pashupati area with a view to providing a clean environment to pilgrims visiting Pashupatinath Temple on the occasion of Mahashivaratri festival. 

A meeting of the Bagmati cleanup mega campaign on Wednesday took the decision to focus its 408th and 409th weekly Bagmati cleaning program in Pashupatinath temple area. 

Cleanup campaigner Kishor Singh Shahi said the sanitation campaign will be organized at Pashupati area on two Saturdays, one before and another after the Mahashivaratri festival, in view of the huge inflow of revelers from home and abroad on the occasion. 

Both the cleanup programs will begin from Suryaghat of Pashupati area to the Aryaghat dam.
