KATHMANDU, Sept 27: Heavy rainfall over the past two days has led to significant flooding in the rivers of Kathmandu, impacting areas such as Shivapuri, Sundarijal, and Godavari.

The Meteorological Forecast Division has reported that water level in the Bagmati River has exceeded the danger thresholds, particularly in Khokana, Gaurighat, and Balkhu areas. Furthermore, the Bishnumati River has also surpassed safety limits at Gongabu Bus Park.


As water levels continue to rise, authorities are advising residents in low-lying areas to remain vigilant. The division has indicated that rain is likely to persist for several more days.
