BAGLUNG, June 8: The family of a boy, who had reportedly gone missing in his attempt to get away with police arrest on the charge of possessing illegal drug, shut Baglung district headquarters today, demanding that the whereabouts of the boy be found at the earliest.

Sunil Pun and his two other friends were caught, during a security check, with illegal drugs on Tuesday night while smuggling them on a taxi to Kushma from Baglung.

Police however managed to arrest two others--Dipendra Karki of Baglung and the driver Bhimsen Lama of Makawanpur--while Pun managed to escape. In his attempt to get away, Pun fled towards the Kaligandaki river.

Police on the tipoff that Pun had gone disappeared while crossing the river, launched a search for Pun from Tuesday night. The whereabouts of Pun is yet to be traced however.
As a result of the protest, transportation has come to a halt while the market remained shut.

The victim's family has demanded that a fair investigation into the case be started at the earliest and Pun's status found. The protesters said the protest would continue until their demands are met.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Anil Kumar Khadka said a search continued for Pun and the investigations were on. RSS
