Awareness campaign in Baglung to fend off COVID-19

BAGLUNG, March 8: The District Administration Office and stakeholders, including political parties, has decided to launch a public awareness campaign against coronavirus in Baglung.
The political parties have prioritized this drive. The full meeting of the Nepal Communist Party (NCP) and Nepali Congress' working committee meeting decided to begin the public awareness for coronavirus preparedness. The NCP is learnt to begin the campaign from March 14. District chairman of the party, Indra Lal Sapkota, informed that the public awareness campaign would provide actual information to the people.
"Sanitation and personal hygiene are the focus. Even the pamphlets and flyers will be distributed to each household," he added.
Similarly, NC chairperson in the district, Dipendra Bahadur Thapa, said the time has come to launch massive awareness drive for the party cadres and people.
The district administration has appealed to all not to organize public gatherings, said Chief District Officer, Gaulochan Sainju. He also shared that special attention was paid to the health condition of inmates. Most of the public schools here have planned to complete annual exams on time.
