Avalanche claims two Nepalis in India

BAITADI, March 14: Two Nepalis lost their lives while one went missing in an avalanche occurred at Pithauragadh of India. 


Those killed in the disaster are- Mohan Chand, 50, from Purchaudi Municipality-2 of Baitadi, and Sharad Kunwar, 21, from Huti-8 of Darchula. The one missing in the avalanche is Bhupendra Kunwar, 20, from Huti-8 of Darchula, said Sub-Inspector of Police, Kedar Khanal, from District Police Office, Darchula.

It is said they had been to the remote Suba area of Pithauragadh district of India to collect Himalayan mushroom on March 9. 


The dead bodies have been kept at a hospital of Dharchula, India, for postmortem, said Darchula police quoting the Indian police. RSS
