Chand-led NCP announces protest against govt






Netra Bikram Chand-led Nepal Communist Party (NCP) has announced fresh protest programs against the KP Sharma Oli-led incumbent government. In a press statement issued on Wednesday, signed by party General Secretary Chand, it has been stated that the party has announced the program against the arrest of three party leaders including standing committee member and party spokesperson Khadga Bahadur Bishwakarma.



New development in tourist hub Thamel


Thamel, the tourist hub of Kathmandu, will have a new addition to its package offering to tourists—a cycle lane. The new addition is believed to boost the inflow of tourists as tourists relish cycling more. The initiative taken by the Kathmandu Metropolitan City responds to the clamour of environmentalists and cyclists for cycle lanes in the pollution ridden Kathmandu. 


World Bank board approves $100 million to help deepen financial sector reforms






The World Bank Group's Board of Executive Directors has approved a fourth Financial Sector Stability Development Policy Credit (DPC4) of $100 million to Nepal to help it continue to deepen its medium-term reform program in the financial sector.
