DAMAULI, Oct 6: A least 50 people were injured when a passenger bus met with an accident at Amreni of Byas Municipality-1, Tahanu today.

A bus (Ga 1 Kha 4153) en route to Damauli from Muglin veered off the road and fell into a paddy field. Overtaking was suspected as the cause of the accident, police said.
Of the injured, Parbati Bhujel, 22, of Byas Municipality-5 was rushed to Pokhara for treatment while others are receiving treatment at Damauli-based Ratnahari Hospital, the District Police Office, Tanahu said. Police have arrested the driver and investigations into the accident are underway. RSS
