KATHMANDU, July 3: ASMAN, (Association of St. Mary’s Alumnae Nepal) as part of the ASMAN Education Program, handed books, uniforms and other essential goods over to underprivileged students of Koseli School at Shanti Nagar in Kathmandu on July 1, 2012.

The school is a centre for slum and street children, and has some 120 children belonging to the lowermost economic strata of the society living in unimaginable conditions.[break]

Koseli School, in addition to education, also takes care of the children’s hygiene, food, clothing and recreational needs. The centre showers upon them the love and care that each one of them rightly deserves.

ASMAN, a non-government, non-profit organization devoted to the cause of aiding and supporting underprivileged Nepali women and children, contributed Rs 100,000 worth of school dresses and stationery for the children at the school and it hopes to continue the support in the future too.

The Alumnae recently provided schoolbags, books, stationery, sports equipment, school uniforms, and food to underprivileged students at Mary Ward School in Lubhu and Jhamsikhel, both in Lalitpur District, Rhisheswor Primary School in Phaparbari village, and Janabhawana Primary School in Shikarpur village in Makwanpur district as part of their Education Program.
