Artistes vs politicians at Dasharath Stadium

KATHMANDU, July 8: In a bid to raise funds for the treatment of former national volleyball player Dinesh Baniya, Nepal National and International Players Association is organizing a friendly football match between comedians and Constituent Assembly members on Saturday at the Dasharath Stadium.[break]



The CA members team, Sabhasad-11 will play with the Kalakar-11, a team comprising the actors of Nepali tele-serials Tito Satya, Jire Khorsani and Meri Bassai. The Sabhasad 11-comprises top leaders of political parties --Pushpa Kamal Dahal, Jhal Nath Khanal, Sher Bahadur Deuba, Ram Chandra Poudel, Barsa Man Pun, Nabindra Raj Joshi and Gagan Thapa among others.



Baniya, a former national volleyball player is in critical condition as both of his kidneys are not working and needs kidney transplantation.
