Arrival of Chinese tourists on an upward spiral

RASUWA (Dhunche), Oct 19: The number of Chinese tourists entering Nepal from the northern transit route in Rasuwa is increasing day by day. 

Inspector Pramesh Bista of the District Police Office (DPO) said a total of 21,016 Chinese tourists entered Nepal through Kerung via Rasuwagadhi since April 12, 2016. "More than a 100 Chinese tourists are arriving on a daily basis," he said. 

Around a hundred containers arrive in Rasuwagadhi on a daily basis bringing the imported Chinese commodities which has changed the marketplace's outlook instilling more vibrancy in it. 

The arrival of Chinese tourists has helped in flourishing the trade and business in the area, Rasuwa Civil Society Chairman, Babulal Tamang said. RSS
