KATHMANDU, Aug 13: The District Court, Syangja has issued an arrest warrant against Surya Bahadur Kunwar, chairperson of Biruwa Rural Municipality, in connection with a cooperative fraud investigation.
Kunwar is alleged to have been involved in financial irregularities during his tenure as secretary of Syangja-based Surya Savings and Credit Cooperative, according to police reports.

Jiban Wagle, the operator of the cooperative, has already been taken into custody in relation to the case.
